You may see a SmartScreen warning on first run

Mcaster1Studio uses a self-signed code signing certificate. Windows SmartScreen may display a warning dialog when you run the installer for the first time. This is normal and expected.

How to proceed:

When the SmartScreen dialog appears, click "More info"
Click "Run anyway" to continue with the installation

Why does this happen? Extended Validation (EV) code signing certificates cost thousands of dollars annually. We develop on systems with real-time antivirus monitoring, and all builds are scanned before release. Self-signed certificates are cryptographically identical to commercial ones -- the only difference is that Microsoft has not been paid to trust ours. As Mcaster1Studio grows, we will invest in an EV certificate to eliminate this dialog entirely.
